Pet fee: Dogs $45/Cats $35/monthly. Weight limit 65 pounds. In order to maintain the health, comfort, & safety of residents and neighbors, resident agrees to bag & remove pet waste immediately at all times. Any costs incurred as a result of pet waste in the lawn including, but not limited to, return trips from lawn care professionals, complaint cleaning required by neighbors, other tenants, city inspectors, or general maintenance by MSB staff, will be billed to resident. Resident agrees to abate any and all regularly recurring damage due to pets behavior. This includes, but is not limited to, chronic barking, chewing, scratching, or wetting. Chronic barking occurs relatively often, and because of its severe impact to neighbors and tenants, will not be tolerated. If chronic barking occurs, the use of a citronella collar, or other forms of deterrents may be required to maintain residency. Pet fees are put toward the extra time required to deal with pet related issues such as barking, waste removal complaints, increased cleaning costs in the halls and common areas, and apartment areas during turnover, difficulty scheduling maintenance etc. They are not intended to offset damage caused by pets. Note: Emotional support animals, which are defined as an animal that provides emotional support, well-being, comfort, or companionship for an individual but that is not trained to perform tasks for the benefit of an individual with a disability, are allowed but Owner may request reliable documentation that the individual has a disability and reliable documentation of the disability-related need for the animal, unless the disability is readily apparent or known.

Fines for misrepresentation: An individual shall forfeit not less than $500 if he or she, for the purpose of obtaining housing, intentionally misrepresents that he or she has a disability or misrepresents the need for an emotional support animal to assist with his or her disability. A licensed health professional shall forfeit not less than $500 if he or she, for the purpose of allowing the patient to obtain housing, misrepresents that his or her patient has a disability or misrepresents his or her patient's need for an emotional support animal to assist with his or her patient's disability.
